This exclusive housing project is designed as an integrated community of 12 units. Each unit is semi detached offering maximum usable land within the framework of the building regulations.
The site is fortunate in having many mature trees and it is the plan to add to the existing greenness and shade of the site though additional design and planting. When completed the project will appear as a green park with the buildings located along a curved road. There is no lineal façade. The dwellings are all 3 floors at the entrance in order to create a low rise appearance while at the same time providing large efficient living areas. All units have covered parking for 2 cars.
To emphasize the greenery, the exterior of the houses have been designed with "tropical minimalism". The geometric exterior volumes reflect the spaces contained and are adjusted from unit to unit to provide variations within the overall design concepts. Each of the dwelling units emphasizes the interplay of the living space allowing the Owner to experience large interior volumes that can be viewed and lived in without the restrictions of ordinary room dimension.
In order to emphasize the building volumes and the play of light and shadow, the exteriors are designed with simple but maintenance effective materials. Sunshade and privacy barriers are designed as informal sculptural shapes to add contrast and variety to the complex.
The buildings are orientated and designed to provide self screening and with the extensive landscaping the site will be well shaded with natural air flow.
